Want to get Back on Track

The 50 day update. I wrote about this in the previous blog entry, but decided a video was warranted for those that can’t be bothered with reading.

[this video was removed because it was lame]

I learned something today about YouTube videos: they don’t like 60fps.  The above video was originally uploaded as it was recorded, at 60 frames per second.  I watched it on YouTube from my desktop compute and also from my mobile phone and it played fine.  My wife even watched it while in another state and it appeared fine for her as well.

A few days later, however, viewing the video proves to be problematic.  Apparently YouTube cuts all videos down to 30 fps.  I’m just not sure why it took them several days to accomplish this.  Now if I re-upload the video it will appear out of order.  YouTube does not have a “replace video” feature.  All videos appear in the order they were uploaded.

So do I just delete the video?  Not many people have watched it and I don’t want it online if it looks/sounds like crap.  Do I upload it again but have it appear slightly out of order?
